Manchester Climate Ready Annual Event 2026
November 10 | The WhitworthThe future of Manchester’s homes
Join organisations from across Manchester for an afternoon exploring one of the biggest challenges and opportunities facing our city: the future of our homes.
How do we create homes and neighbourhoods that are healthier, more affordable, zero carbon and resilient to a changing climate? And how do we turn that ambition into action across Manchester?
The Manchester Climate Ready Annual Event brings together businesses, universities, public sector organisations, housing providers, community organisations and other partners to share ideas, make connections and identify where we can make a bigger difference together.
❋ Intentional StructureWe blend guided moments, open exploration, and space to reflect—so the experience feels both focused and fluid.
❋ Collaborative EnergyConnection is a core part of the process. You’ll learn just as much from the group as from the content itself.
❋ Expert FacilitationLed by experienced guides who know how to hold space, encourage participation, and keep things moving with purpose.
❋ A Supportive SpaceOur events prioritize comfort, safety, and respect—so you can show up as you are and fully engage in the process.

Optional pre-event sustainability tourExplore sustainability at the University of Manchester
Start the day with a behind-the-scenes look at sustainability in practice across the University of Manchester campus.
The optional guided tour will showcase projects and places demonstrating how one of Manchester’s major institutions is responding to the climate challenge through its buildings, estate and wider sustainability activity.
It is an opportunity to see practical examples first-hand, hear from those delivering them and meet other attendees before the main event begins.
