MANCHESTER CLIMATE CHANGE PARTNERSHIP

Shaping Manchester’s Climate Future

Manchester Climate Change Partnership brings together leading organisations from across the city to drive urgent, collective action on climate change. Together, we want to create a healthy, green, socially just city where everyone can thrive.

We set Manchester’s climate targets, mobilise resources, and track progress – working together to create a zero carbon, climate resilient city by 2038.

Find out more about the Partnership and how you can be part of shaping our city for the future.

Since 2018, in collaboration with Manchester Climate Change Agency, the Partnership has:

  • Set the vision and targets for a zero carbon Manchester

  • Put Manchester on the map as one of the first cities in the world to align with the Paris Agreement and the latest climate science.

  • Brought together 120+ businesses and organisations across 19 sectors to take real action on carbon reduction.

  • Established a partnership-based approach, where every organisation and citizen has a role to play.

  • Established the Climate Change Youth Partnership to represent the voices of the city’s young people.

  • Secured over £20 million in funding for climate innovation and pilot projects.
