How are we doing?
Since 2015, Manchester Climate Change Agency has been publishing Manchester’s Annual Climate Change Report, detailing the city’s progress against its climate change targets and strategies.
This report includes:
- An update on the city’s carbon budget using emissions data for 2020,
- An update against the headline objectives set out in the Manchester Climate Change Framework 2020-25 and,
- An update on Agency progress against the priorities set out in the 2022 Annual Report
The 2022 Update of the Manchester Climate Change Framework (2020-25) has been referenced as 'the 2022 Update' throughout this document. It can be viewed here.

Manchester reports against its Climate Change Commitments and performance to CDP (previously the Carbon Disclosure Project) and the Global Covenant of Mayors (GCoM).
Being on the A list celebrates our achievements, vision and commitment in the fight against climate change and recognises the work Manchester has done to take bold climate action.
