The Core Cities UK and the RSA have today set out an approach for developing a new 'Manifesto for a City-led Green Recovery'.
The report is based on discussions held with city leaders, officials, academics and investors during June 2020 to begin to map out a new area of joint work for the Core Cities.
The report sets out three areas that could be covered by the new manifesto:
1. Using existing local authority powers and funding to maximum effect
2. Working with Government to secure the powers and funding needed for a city-led green recovery
3. The role of cities in engaging and mobilising local citizens, businesses and other partner organisations
