Our Faith, Our Planet, Our Actions
On Thursday 7 June 2018, the Dean of Manchester hosted ‘Our Faith, Our Planet, Our Actions’, a climate change conference with a difference! This informal event focussed on practical action, with suggestions of ways in which we can all make a difference in our communities. The evening included workshops, food, music, networking and plenty of information.
We were pleased to have Anne Cranston from Gloucester Cathedral as our guest speaker. Anne is project manager for Gloucester Cathedral’s £6m Project Pilgrim and a former Operations Director (and current trustee) at environmental regeneration charity, Groundwork West Midlands. She is also a founder member of Gloucester Heritage Forum and a trustee at Gloucester Culture Trust.
The Dean of Manchester, The Very Reverend Rogers Govender convened the event which was organised by Manchester Cathedral and supported by Manchester Climate Change Agency, The The Carbon Literacy Project, CARITAS (Diocese of Salford), Buddha's Light International Association and the Peace and Unity Group which is comprised of representatives from faith and community groups across Greater Manchester.
