On Friday 19th October, the Greater Manchester Pension Fund will be holding its Annual General Meeting and Fossil Free Greater Manchester will be there to lobby them, with a dinosaur!

At the end of last year the GM Pension Fund acknowledged the material and financial risks of climate change and promised to move to a net zero carbon investment portfolio. This is good news, but they haven’t said WHEN they are going to do this, nor have they spelt out the details of their strategy for doing so.

And they still cling to the idea that them talking to the fossil fuel companies will somehow make them change. So we’ll be challenging the Fund with the simple question “WHEN will the GM Pension Fund go zero carbon?”.
