Description
The OPAL Climate Roadshow is a travelling exhibition which examines different aspects of climate, weather and the atmosphere in a fun and educational way. The content has been designed to appeal to a broad range of age groups from primary school children to adults. There are a range of activities and displays which suit both organised and casual visits. The roadshow will be staffed by professional meteorologists from a variety of institutions.
Manchester is hosting the only OPAL Climate Roadshow in the North West, and it will be at Wythenshawe Park Mon-Friday during climate week, before it continues its tour of the country.

Energy Saving Tips

If you want help to save energy and reduce carbon emissions, head to Chorlton Library on Tuesday 22 March between 3 and 6pm. You’ll be able to get energy-saving tips from Energy Saving Trust experts in a free event that’s part of National Climate Week 2011. At the event you can also borrow a free energy monitor, which is now available to loan with your library card. The monitor will show how much electricity you are using minute by minute. It’s a great way of saving electricity and money, so why not give one a go? Anyone with a library card can take advantage, and joining the library is free and simple.
